Addie Corbett and Will Poppleton - the 2025 Moose Valuable Skier Award Winners

We are pleased to announce the two winners of this year’s Moose Valuable Skier Award: Addie Corbett and Will Poppleton! These skiers have stood out in the ways they live the Moose Nordic values of sportsmanship, humility, empowerment, and integrity. Please join us in congratulating these two Minnesota high school skiers!

Addie, a junior at Highland Park, was selected because of her leadership in setting a positive and inclusive team culture, desire to encourage her teammates and competitors, and hard work ethic. Her nomination said, “Addie also went out of her way to help new skiers feel included and confident. She was patient, encouraging, and made sure everyone felt like part of the team, no matter their experience level. She works hard, seeks out feedback for how she can improve, and never complains when things don’t go her way.”

Will Poppleton, a skier for St. Paul Central, stood out for his mentorship of younger athletes, perseverance through injuries, and perspective on racing. Will’s nominations shared, “He really helps bring the team together, and inspires younger skiers to take the sport seriously and to improve. He is never mad after a race, no matter how it goes - he’s just always happy to be skiing.”

Thanks to our generous sponsors, Finn Sisu, Madshus, and Julbo, these skiers will receive for their high school teams a pair of boots, skis, poles, and glasses!
